The Worcestershire Masonic Golfing Society (WMGS) concluded its 52nd year with the donation to its chosen charity for 2015 at Moseley Masonic Hall in the Lunchtime Meeting of the Lodge of St George, No.5691 on 16th December,
The RW. Bro. Robert C Vaughan, Provincial Grand Master the Brethren of the Lodge of St. George were joined by the representatives of several charities, their partners and ladies and prior to the presentations were treated to an inspiring and informative talk by W. Bro. Alan Wyer, Lodge Charity Steward, about the layout of the Lodge room and the duties of the Officers.
Provincial Grand Master then presented several cheques from the Province to the representatives of the charities present, including the donation of £1,900 from the members of WMGS to the MIDLAND AIR AMBULANCE.
A typical Christmas luncheon was enjoyed by all and our thanks to the Brethren of 5691 for their hospitality.
The WMGS schedule for 2016 includes the 53rd Annual Event being held at Kings Norton Golf Club on Tuesday 12th July 2016. The main feature of the event are the competitions: for the Individual Winner (Fellows Bowl); Lodge Pairs (Weatheroak Bowl); and, the Veterans Trophy.
